Ms Estrada staff spotlight

Ms. Estrada has taught 3rd grade at KCAM for 10 years. She was raised in King City and attended KCUSD schools; later, she earned her bachelor's degree from UC Riverside and a master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Estrada serves on our Sunshine Committee, is part of the Math Curriculum Pilot Program. She especially enjoys teaching math and science because those subjects always bring out wonder, and when students learn through exploration, she loves to watch their excitement as they learn. Ms. Estrada's hobbies include camping, hiking, photography and traveling - she loves learning from new experiences and cultures and photographing all the places she visits. Her favorite food is Thai food, and her favorite colors are purple, blue, and turquoise. When she's not teaching or traveling, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her nieces and nephews. Ms. Estrada is grateful for the strong mentorships and support she had growing up and she is proud to serve and give back to the King City community. We appreciate all you do for KCAM, Ms. Estrada. ELOP Fun

This month's ELOP club being featured is Ms. Davis' Minecraft Club! Students come every Tuesday and Thursday for 1 hour and get to unleash their creativity as they build different creations in Minecraft. Depending on the day, students are able to either build whatever comes to mind or they build a design on a given prompt. The club has 20 students who have tons of fun each time! When Jayleen Bautista was asked about Minecraft club she said, "I enjoy spending extra time with my friends!" Matthew Barajas said, "I really like that I get to hang out with my teacher, hang out with friends, and get to build amazing things on Minecraft!"
